Solar Roof Shingles -- A Revolution In The Making

When doing research for a paper on energy efficiency, the first thing that I chose to write about was solar roof shingles. They have revolutionized the solar energy industry! They capture the solar energy that solar panels have done for a long time but without being as conspicuous. These shingles blend in with the roof instead of using the more traditional and unsightly solar panels which can also be cumbersome to install. Solar roof shingles are just as effective at retaining and storing power as solar panels!

Cut the Cord to Your Local Electric Company!

Buying solar roof panels can offer you a lot of financial options that having electricity from a normal electrical company will not. Putting solar roof shingles on your roof will trim off a considerably noticeable amount of money off your electricity bill. There is even the possibility of being able to sell electricity back to the electrical company! This is an extremely interesting and inviting concept for anyone to entertain. In today's economy, solar roof panels are a commodity that works for you.

Extra Protection for Your Roof

Installing solar roof shingles provides clean energy to your home but it also helps preserve your home as well. These shingles are mounted on a rail slightly higher than your roof and so it creates a protection for your roof. This will preserve your roof for an extended amount of time so will not have to worry about needing a new roof for your home. Expert design and installation of these solar roof shingles makes for an effective and durable alternative to your housing costs and with a 25 year warranty, you can count on seeing your electric meter running backwards for a long time.

You Need to Get Involved -- Today

Finding ways in today's economy to cut costs without losing any of the fun in life is a hard thing to do. With the weather changes and the seasons taking adding to our electrical bill, receiving our electrical bills each month and feeling overwhelmed is something that everyone is dealing with. Installing solar roof shingles is an investment that any smart homeowner is going to strongly consider doing. Finding alternatives to regular electricity that is safe for the environment should be a priority for every homeowner.

It's funny about the solar shingles that I saw a house once with a bunch of these on it and I wasn't sure what those things were. When they aren't covering the entire roof they look like discolored shingles kind of like new paint over old paint dries unevenly. I just thought they had new shingles that were the wrong color (slightly) but after reading this I went by the house again and took a closer look, it was them!
